Recently, my wife, Nancy and I were driving into town for our daughters’ event. I was talking with her about how I wanted to include breeders who prefer crossbreeding over pure breeding into the Breeders Academy. We were discussing ways I could help them to produce high quality fowl, with superior performance and production abilities by using better selective breeding practices with the benefits of genetics to achieve their goals.
Nancy began to ask me some really good questions about pure breeding versus crossbreeding, and it sparked a discussion and debate that lasted the whole trip (45 minutes) into town.
At the end of the talk, we realized that we should have recorded it, and it would have made a great Bred to Perfection Podcast Episode.
Nancy wrote down as many questions as she could remember, and we decided to try and recreate the discussion in our studio. We had a great time, and everything was going well, however, there was one problem. When we attempted to listen to the recording, nothing was there! That’s right, it didn’t record our show.
We were so bumbed. A whole hour wasted. And let me tell you something, it was a great show. I don’t know if it was an exact recreation of our talk, but it was really good.
Long story short, we did get it recorded, and we hope you enjoy the show and learn from it too.
